My Story
Myself Prashanth Karupothula, the founder of PK Tutor Hub. My journey in tutoring began during my undergraduate years at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, where I cultivated a passion for helping others succeed academically. After completing my Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, I pursued further studies at the University of Alberta, where I obtained a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on fluid flow and thermal analysis. Throughout my academic journey, I dedicated myself to both learning and teaching, balancing my coursework with tutoring responsibilities.

During my time at the University of Alberta, I served as a tutor for various courses, including Introduction to Thermo-Fluid Sciences, Heat Transfer, and Numerical Methods for Mechanical Engineers. In these roles, I prepared tutorial presentations, conducted live demonstrations, and provided one-on-one assistance to students, helping them understand complex concepts and excel in their coursework. Additionally, I graded assignments and exams, ensuring fair and consistent evaluation of student performance.
In parallel to my tutoring responsibilities, I also engaged in research as a Graduate Research Assistant, focusing on fluid flow and thermal analysis in induced draft cooling towers. This industrial project, sponsored by International Cooling Towers, allowed me to develop a numerical model to predict fluid flow, contribute to open-source fluid flow simulation software, and gain valuable experience in Finite Element Analysis.
My tutoring experience extends beyond the university setting, as I have independently tutored over 20 students through platforms like Superprof. Leveraging my strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as proficiency in online tutoring software, I have facilitated over 100 hours of online and in-person tutoring sessions, helping students achieve academic success.

In addition to my tutoring and research experience, I have acquired proficiency in various software tools and programming languages, including MATLAB, COMSOL, Ansys, and AutoCAD, among others. This technical expertise, combined with my dedication to teaching and mentoring, has equipped me with the skills necessary to effectively support students in their academic endeavors.
